Excitement level is pretty low. It has its moments, but overall it didn't make my heart pound. It does give you a new insight into what her life would have been like. Reading level-wise, it wasn't all that difficult to read, but it was written in that older style (like Louisa May Alcott) so you did have to remain concentrated.
