Our Animal Friends

This volume of science and nature study for elementary students follows the story of a young homeschooled girl, Taylor, who lives next door to her uncle, a veterinarian. Each day, after her lessons are over, Taylor asks Mom if she can run next door to see what type of animals have come to pay her uncle a visit that day. A talk with her uncle about each of the animals and their habits is the starting point for the lesson as the young student who is reading fluently applies his skills in reading, researching, drawing, writing, hands-on activities, and more, to learn about many different pets and farm animals - cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, mules, sheep, cows, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hermit crabs, turtles, chickens, ducks, tarantulas, snakes, pigs, llamas, hamsters, and more. Great fun for younger students as they learn about their favorite animals, all in the context of science.
