Halls of Fame (My Book House, Vol. 12)
This volume gives children , through interesting stories of the lives of authors, a large view of the sweep of English and American Literature form Chaucer and the beginnings of the English language down to today. The aim has been to bring out definitely the exact character of the contribution of each author to the whole development of literature. Furthermore, this volume was designed to give a comprehensive picture of literature as a whole by including the lives of the most outstanding authors from foreign countries.
