Visit to Colonial Williamsburg & VA Beach

Family trip to experience a reproduction of Colonial American life in Williamsburg, VA. Observe & discuss fall leaves and various landscapes and community scenes while driving through Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia. Visit Virginia beach and discuss similarities and differences between this beach on the Atlantic Ocean, and beaches we've previously visited on the Gulf of Mexico and various bays over the years. Utilize math to figure travel times, gas mileage & cost, total distance traveled. Practice alphabetizing & spelling by playing the "alphabet game" on the road. Practice critical thinking by playing "20 questions." Participation in physical education including attending a water aerobics class at our resort, free swim, extensive walking on grass, brick, gravel, and beach sand.
