Student Writing Intensive Group A - DVD Course

by Institute for Excellence in Writing Author

(From Amazon): The Student Writing Intensive course from the Institute of Excellence in Writing is based on the IEW teacher's seminar Teaching Writing: Structure and Style, and provides a solid foundation of writing skills through direct writing instruction. This Level A course is designed for early elementary students in Grades 3-5 and presumes no previous experience in the IEW writing method; it differs from the higher levels in the type of texts used, speed of presentation, and vocabulary level. This four-DVD course covers 15-30 weeks (suggested schedule is 30 weeks; doubling lessons allows course to be completed in half the time), and was recorded live with Andrew Pudewa. It teaches students how to use a wide range of structural models and stylistic techniques as they learn to write paragraphs, stories, reports, and inventive writing pieces.
