A Book of Children's Literature

It's original purpose - to serve as a text for teachers and librarians in training, and as a source book for all who are interested in children and their reading. This book brings together a representative of old and recent literature. The text provides for a full semesters course in children's literature. age levels from 2 to 15. It has a chapter on selection and evaluation of children's books. Included are chapters on modern fanciful tales, animal and other nature stories, realistic stories and biography as well as fairytales, poetry, greek myths and fables.
