Evangeline: A Tale Of Acadie

by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Author

An epic poem, easy to read with some beautiful phrasing sprinkled throughout. A young man and woman who live in Acadia are betrothed then separated in the forced exodus and relocation. They come close to meeting again several times, but ultimately live their lives apart and only meet again when they are old and gray.
