Fanny Crosby grew up to be a talented poet and musician. A teacher once told her "Whatever talent you possess, child, belongs wholly to God and you ought to give him the credit for all that you do." These words thrilled her heart and today thousands of people have sung hymns like Blessed Assurance, Christ the Lord is Risen Today and To God be the Glory because the blind girl's song was sung for Jesus with all of her heart.
