This is a great nature based book of a boy who adopts 2 owls. The boy and his friends are always out doing things in nature.
(Depending on the student, there is a paragraph in Chapter 8 that talks about a "hanging tree", that the main character thinks that a criminal might have hung himself in the tree years earlier. It is mentioned almost in passing. You may want to leave that out.)
