Countryside Rambles

by W S Furneaux Author

From the Preface: "This little book is an attempt to help those who are interested in the works of Nature by calling attention to many of the more striking objects and phenomena which reveal themselves to the country rambler. So many subjects are dealt with that individual descriptions are necessarily very brief and imperfect, but the object of the work is not so much to supply detailed information for home reading as to arouse an increased desire to study the beauties and wonders of the countryside--to encourage a careful observation of the former and an independent investigation of the latter."
