Lady Jane Grey: Nine-Day Queen of England [SCM]
by Faith Cook Author
An interesting and insightful narrative (not a novel) of the various events and plots that contributed to 16-year-old Jane's being crowned and soon afterward executed. The author does a good job of intertwining the roles of the religious struggles in the wake of the Reformation, the political intrigues and how they related to Jane's family, the foreign affairs and alliances being sought, the reigns of King Henry VIII and Edward his son, and the pressure of public opinion.
