  • 1 Watch the intro video, discuss book ideas, print lecture slides for the first module, watch Intro to Poetry video
  • 2 Watch Figurative Language video, print Figurative Language Log, play Like/Not LIke game
  • 3 Watch the Poetry Terms video, Poetry Types video, print Limerick Activity file and start doing it. Continue tomorrow if necessary.
  • 4 Print the Poetry Final test and take the test.
  • 5 Grade and review the poetry final, watch the Poetry Book Report video and set a FIRM DUE DATE. Read your book and work on the Poetry Book Report. Mark this assignment “worked on” until the report is finished.
  • 6 THE DUE DATE: Evaluate the report using the rubric.
  • 7 Print out the lecture slides, watch the Intro to Drama video.
  • 7b OPTIONAL: Watch the PBS video “In Search of Shakespeare”
  • 8 Watch the “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” video on the DVD
  • 9 Watch the AMND Scene Assignments video, read the script/listen to an audio recording and follow along. Finish by watching a video production of the play. Mark this assignment “worked on” until you have finished.
  • 10 Discuss book ideas and get the book in hand before the next teaching day. Watch the Drama Book Report video on the DVD.
  • 11 Print the literary terms sheet and the rubric, read the book and start working on the report. Decide on a FIRM DUE DATE.
  • 12 THE DUE DATE: Using the rubric, evaluate the book report together.
