Handwriting by George

by George Washington Creator, Cynthia A. Shearer Editor

This book is intended to provide practice for children learning to write, and spark discussion about "civil and decent behavior". The book contains 27 entries from George Washington's noted book Rules of Civility & Decent Behaviour in Company & Conversation. Each entry is printed on double-ruled paper for students to copy as penmanship practice. Opposite each handwriting page is a space for the student to depict the rule according to his or her own unique (and quite possibly humorous) perspective. While Washington's musings were originally written for young ladies and gentlemen of the 18th century, they are more than applicable to kids of today.
