Safety is a top priority whenever any youth is introduced to the shooting sports. This can never be overemphasized. My First Rifle is a story of a grandfather who gives his grandchild a rifle as a gift. Before he can use the gun, grandpa must teach him gun safety and responsible firearm use. This book is not a substitute for any gun safety program, but rather reinforces gun safety and celebrates a long standing tradition of gun ownership and proper use.
